FAQs

How long does therapy last?

It depends on how far you want to go in the quest of understanding yourself. Usually the longer an issue has been around, the longer it takes to get to the heart of the matter.

How long is a therapy session?

I see clients in my private practice for 50 minutes a session.

How is billing handled?

Payment in cash or bank transfer, details provided upon initial contact.

Is therapy confidential?

I take confidentiality very seriously, this is to meet the requirements of UKCP. I am required to have monthly supervision whereby I may talk anonymously about sessions however, please know that my supervisor will work under the same ethical one as I, and I do not disclose any of the information discussed.

Confidentiality is something you may wish to discuss in our first session, or further along, which I’m happy to do so.

How frequent is a therapy session?

Generally, therapy begins on a weekly basis but this is something that can be reviewed after a period of time working together.

What can I expect from my first session?

Our first session will last 50 minutes and you’ll be able to share what you’d like help with, and I can explain to you about the client therapist agreement.

How much does therapy cost?

Each 50 minute session costs £65.

I offer a reduced rate of £30 per session for students with a valid student ID.

What is the cancellation policy?

The client-therapist agreement will cover my cancellation policy and other aspects of working together.
